About Personal Accident or Sickness Claims

For personal accident or sickness claims, you must notify us within 30 days after the occurrence of any event which may give rise to a claim.

For submission of documents or information about an existing personal accident or sickness claim, please send an email to SGANHClaims@aig.com, quoting your claim number in the email subject line.

How to make a new Personal Accident or Sickness Claim

Have your policy number ready before filing the claim online.

You can find the policy number on the top left corner of the policy cover letter or policy schedule that has been mailed or sent electronically to you as a PDF.

Prepare the relevant supporting documents for your claim. We may contact you for additional documents and information, if those are required.

Submit your claim online.

For all new claims (Singapore only), please submit through the online claims portal.

For all follow-up claims (Singapore only), please submit to SGANHClaims@aig.com quoting your claim number in the email subject line.

Submit the claim and relevant supporting documents to us within 30 days of the incident. Please be advised that insureds are required to keep all original documents for 2 years from the date of submission as we reserve the right to request for verification of such documents.

What to expect

We process most straightforward personal accident and health claims within 10 business days if they are submitted with complete documentation. It may take longer to process a claim if we require additional information or documents from you.

Supporting Documents

  • Certified true copy of death certificate.
  • Medical report form completed by treating doctor.
  • Detailed post-mortem report or autopsy report. If these are not available, provide a medical report.
  • Police report and findings on the alleged accident, if applicable.
  • If the deceased was driving at the time of accident: copy of driver’s licence and certificate of auto insurance.
  • For industrial or work-related accident: incident report lodged by the employer.
  • If the insured has made a nomination: nominee’s identity card.
  • If the insured has not made a nomination:
        o Copy of claimant’s identity card and proof of relationship.
        o Letter of Administration or Probate.

  • Police report and findings on the alleged accident, if applicable.
  • All available medical reports or any other document(s) to substantiate the claim.
  • For industrial or work related accident: Work Injury Accident Report and Notice of Assessment lodged by your employer.

  • Final medical invoices and receipts.
  • Police report for road traffic accidents or other accidents, if applicable.
  • Medical report or Attending Physician’s Statement by treating doctor.
  • For industrial or work related accident: incident report lodged by your employer.

  • Police report for road traffic accidents or other accidents, if applicable.
  • Medical report or Attending Physician’s Statement by treating doctor.
  • Copy of hospitalisation bills.
  • For industrial or work related accident: Work Injury Accident Report lodged by your employer.

  • Medical report or Attending Physician’s Statement by treating doctor, indicating the type and location of fractures.
  • Police report for road traffic accident or other accidents, if applicable.
  • For industrial or work related accident: incident report lodged by your employer.

To claim under the policy, you must use the services of AIG Travel or an authorised representative of AIG Travel for the return of the insured’s mortal remains.
